Update: Everything seems to be returning to normal as of 12:30 ET.
According to a number of reports on Twitter, several Google services are having issues this morning. User tweets show that Hangouts, the Play Store, Gmail, Play Music, OAuth, and other services are having unusual performance issues. Some users are receiving authentication errors on their Android devices and unable to do anything that requires a Google log-in…
The issues go far beyond native Google apps. Many third-party services that allow users to log-in via Google are reporting that users are unable to log-in. Google Classroom is down as well, which means any schools that run on Chromebooks are currently unable to access anything.
Google has yet to address the outages on the company’s official service status dashboard, but you can see the apparent issue is widespread based on tweets from annoyed users below. If you’re having your own issues, let us know in the comments. We’ll update if the issues continue or Google acknowledges the performance hiccups.

Google is down. I support a website where Google OpenID is a very popular form of login. It’s going to be a long day.
