Nowadays, chatbots are the norm in the conversations people have with businesses and organisations. However, some people were still using Google Chat thanks to its convenience to continuously connect and converse with their loved ones. It was fun and not complicated at all. Now that Hangouts is replacing the old chat experience, what will the future hold for Google Chat users?
The new Gmail Chat
Well, we’re now on google home. Maybe I don’t know a thing because I just occasionally use my laptop; and it hasn’t been Gmail Chat. As in as I realize it or understand what it is. Not referring to Google Home but Gmail Chat; because I haven’t used it since my first day
The Google Chat Shutdown

Criticisms of the Google Chat Shutdown and what happened before
Google’s decision to end its chat service was met with criticism from users and employees who felt that the company didn’t give them enough time to find an alternate solution. However, the company has released a statement explaining why it made this decision and why it believes it is the right one.
The Google Chat shutdown is finally headed for museum of bad ideas. Google changed its tone a little to say it’s the right thing to discontinue Google Chat due to its repeated inability to effectively keep account information and passwords secure.
We already know how this works works in many countries; how Google handles user data is almost never transparent as Mark explained in 2010: “It’s absolutely fair to ask whether this is an appropriate privacy decision for Google, or even makes sense for software companies based around the world. I really like what we do, but
Final thoughts on whether the Google Chat shutdown is justified or not
Chat is finally being shutdown on July 15th, 2019. This has been in the works for a while and there have been multiple warnings about it. The obvious disadvantage to this is that many people will have to change their communication habits. However, the Google Chat shutdown may also be a good thing.
The primary reason is that it has been a massive source of spamming and offensive content. Messenger, WhatsApp, and other forms of messaging are much less susceptible to this problem because they don’t allow ads or linking. Additionally, chat was only attracting negative attention because of the terrible thingspeople were saying to each other.
In the end, it may not be clear whether the Google Chat shutdown was justified or not. However, it’s important to remember that bad things can happen whenchat isn’t used properly and spamming can become rampant. A dark side to Google’s chat change Trump supporters might not be happy with this turn of events, but liberals may view it positively. The anti-Trump nation might revolt against liberalism in favor of being more like the alt-right or neo-Nazis now that ad revenue is effectively entirely eradicated.
