The free version also lets users work offline and has collaboration functions that allow multiple people to create, edit, update and read documents simultaneously with live chat. Google also organizes its files in folders according to different categories and searches so it’s easier than ever to find what you need. How Does Google Sheets Make Search Better?. Apart from showing you graphs, charts and photos with pre-defined options and data, Google Sheets allows the user to merge different types of spreadsheets. This makes it easy to combine them altogether especially when doing multiple calculations at once or making extremely complex mathematical formulas. This enables users to learn quickly about clear structure as well as build up varying layouts for a more interactive form of data
Which Excel uses the most data?
Databases and spreadsheets do an excellent job of cross referencing. Excel being the leading spreadsheet software relies on a SQL database to run queries that provide information about spreadsheets. The reason for this is because spreadsheets excel at using data located in one sheet with data from other sheets across the database. On the other hand, Google Docs does not rely on a database for searches. That is because Google Docs uses their own indexing algorithms that works well with webpages.
However, this doesn’t mean spreadsheets will go away. Because spreadsheets still provide additional functionality and data analysis over manually entered information it is hard to determine which format would die off first; spreadsheet or Google Docs? Although it is difficult to predict trend in ourselves around we need to consider the future about what size of data use will be for “traditional” files providers like Microsoft Office.
Which is faster: Sheets or Docs?
If a paper is to be saved, Sheets is probably the better option. It takes a lot less time to open Sheet and save than it does to open a Doc and save. Even just around the office we save our great whitepapers as Sheets and store them here so anyone who needs to can access them.

Conclusion
To be quite frank, G Suite has a better search feature. It will let users scan the vast list of documents to find relevant ones. This is convenient when looking up and organizing project files or finding old information. In the testing, users may also find G Suite more convenient when checking out documents that once belonged to someone else and need to be stored in a new email account. Overall, Microsoft has had a better desktop delivery experience as it can be accessed and viewed in a browser as opposed to Google Drive’s model which requires downloading the relevant version. However, both are very good at providing storage services and syncing files.
