How do I video call on Google Chat?
Google has made video calling a big part of their platform and they have done a great job with it. You can video call with just about anyone, no matter where they are in the world. If you are using Google Chat, this is incredibly easy to do. Here is how:
First, open a chat window with the person you want to call.
Second, click on the three lines in the top right corner of the chat window (this is your menu).
Third, select “Video Calling.”
Fourth, you will be asked to setup a connection.
Google will then ask you to choose a video call type. There are three options: Incognito mode, Private mode, and Public mode. (The last two are specifically for public/broadcast environments.)
Next, you will be asked to choose who you want to call. You can either type their name or find them in your contact list on Google+. Click on their name and hit enter.
Fourth, you will be prompted to put your chat window into fullscreen mode. Click on the green “Full Screen” button and then hit enter.
