One of the benefits of syncing all of your images to a cloud storage account like Google Drive is that they will be automatically backed up. The photos on your phone are smaller than the full resolution they’re saved in, so they may not have as much detail. However, if you do store all your high-quality photos on your my computer, then the photo files can get corrupted and the whole drive has to be reformatted or replaced which would take a lot more time and effort.
