Google is about to help you get more work done with Docs on your Android device with a handful of new add-ons.
“Whether it’s readying a contract you have for e-signature from your phone, or pulling in CRM data on your tablet for some quick analysis while waiting for your morning coffee, Android add-ons can help you accomplish more,” Google Apps Product Manager Saurabh Gupta wrote in a blog post.
At this point, there are nine different add-ons to choose from, including one from the Web giant itself: Google Classroom. Others include DocuSign, so you can trigger or complete the e-signing process from Docs or Sheets and save the document right to Drive; ProsperWorks, which lets you import CRM data and create dashboards, reports, and graphs on Sheets; AppSheet for creating a mobile apps directory in Sheets; and Scanbot, which lets you scan business documents and insert their contents into Docs as editable text.
The list also includes PandaDoc, Zoho CRM, Teacher Aide, and EasyBib. Head over to Google Play to check out the entire selection, or you can browse them directly from the add-on menus in Docs or Sheets.
“Try them out today, and see how much more you can do,” Gupta wrote.
The new add-ons come after Google earlier this year launched real-time mobile commenting for Sheets and Slides on Android and iOS, rounding out mobile editing for the Docs suite. At the same time, the company updated Docs commenting, making it easier to share your thoughts and add another person to the conversation.
