JERUSALEM: Alphabet Inc.’s Google, Israel’s Reichman University have set up a school to train high-tech professionals, offering courses in computer programming, sales and data analysis among other subjects.
Israel is a leading country in the tech world, but they’re rapidly approaching a severe shortage of skilled workers in the technology sector.
The School of High Tech is committed to supporting students from under-represented communities. We support individuals who are disadvantaged because of their gender, culture, religion, race, or social class.
“We believe that the diversity of perspectives in Israeli high-tech helps steer the tech industry in new and better directions,” said Barak Regev, managing director of Google Israel. The School of Art & Design at Tel Aviv University will be opening courses next month starting at $25 per course and students who complete courses will receive credit towards a degree.
Google is launching an immersive full-time coding bootcamp program in Tel Aviv. These courses will be offered at the Google Campus in Tel Aviv and the Reichman University in Herzliya
