5 Things You Probably Missed With Google Chat On Android

If you’re like most smartphone users, then you probably only use the Google app for a certain task. However, there are some hidden features in this popular app that maybe should be mentioned more often. You might want to double-check your settings and make sure you’re clear on how it works.

Get Started

Google Chat is a messaging app that was discontinued on December 14th, 2019. However, before it was discontinued, there were some great features that Google Chat offered users.

One of the great features of Google Chat was that it allowed users to video call other Android users. This feature is no longer available in Google Chat on Android, but you can still use this feature if you use another messaging app like Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp.

If video calling is not a priority for you, you can still communicate with other Google Chat users by sending typed messages or photos. You can also use emoji and GIFs to communicate with your friends.

Google Chat is a great messaging app that offered many benefits over other apps like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. If you are looking for a messaging app that offers more features than those two apps, Google Chat is a good option to consider.

Download Google Chat from the Play Store

Google Chat is one of the older chat apps available on Android. It has been discontinued by Google and is no longer being developed. However, it is still an option for many people.

If you want to continue using Google Chat, you will need to install the app from the Play Store. Once you have installed Google Chat, open it and sign in.

Google Chat is a bit different than other chat apps. Instead of having a conversation with multiple people at the same time, you can only have a conversation with one person at a time. This makes it perfect for group conversations or chats with friends.

One thing to note is that Google Chat does not support video conversations. If you need to have a video conversation, you will need to use another app like FaceTime or Skype.

Use your old google account

If you’re using an Android phone and need to access your email, calendar, or other Google services from a different device, now is a great time to switch to a Google account on another device.

To do this:

1) Open the Google app on your current device

2) Tap the three lines in the top left corner of the screen

3) Select Settings from the menu that appears (or tap More in the Action bar at the bottom of the screen)

4) Scroll down to Accounts and tap on it

5) Select Add account.

6) Enter your current email address and password and then tap Next.

7) On the next screen, set up your new Google account information. Make sure that you agree to Terms of Service (perhaps by tapping Agree). Tap Next again.

8) If you want to keep using your current Cloud Messaging number with this configuration, tap Activate Now near the bottom of this screen (you can’t use two different numbers with two separate accounts). Otherwise, tap Next.

9) Follow the on-screen instructions (for example, if you want to add apps that use google accounts). When you’re

Download your profile photo as an emoji

Google Chat is a great way to stay connected with friends and family, but you may not have realized that you can use Google Chat as an emoji too!

Here are 4 ways to use Google Chat as an emoji:

1. Type /meadow and your friend will see a screenshot of you in a meadow.

2. Type /laugh and your friend will see a screenshot of you laughing.

3. Type /sky and your friend will see a screenshot of you in the clouds.

4. Type /sunset and your friend will see a screenshot of you at sunset.

Toggle Photos in Text Messages

Google Chat is one of the oldest messaging apps on Android and it still has a lot of features that make it a great option for talking with friends. One of the cool things about Google Chat is that you can toggle between sending photos and text messages in your conversation.

To do this, just click on the three lines in the top left corner of your chat window. This will show you a menu which includes “Photos,” “Text Messages,” and “Other.” You can choose which type of message you want to send.

This is a really handy feature for people whotext a lot, or for people who want to keep their conversations neat and tidy. It’s also great for people who have friends who use different messaging apps.

Case Sensitive Emoji Input

Ever since Google discontinued Google Chat on Desktop, many people have been lamenting the loss of features such as support for case insensitive emoji input.

Fortunately, you can still get case insensitive emojis on Android by using a third-party app. If you want to try out one of these apps, we recommend GO Keyboard for Android. GO Keyboard includes support for almost every emoji character that is available on Android.

If you don’t want to use an app, you can manually enable case insensitive emojis in Google Chat Settings. To do this, open the Chat Settings menu in Google App and select Language & input. Next, tap Emoji and scroll down to the Case Insensitive option. Enable this option and then tap OK to save your changes.

If you ever find that you’re missing some of the newer emoji characters, be sure to check out GO Keyboard or the Chat Settings menu in Google App.
